Nearly One Year After Bombings, Chelmsford's Bauman 'Stronger' With New Book

Boston Marathon bombing survivor and Chelmsford native Jeff Bauman's memoir was released on Tuesday.

One week ahead of the first anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings, Chelmsford resident Jeff Bauman is showing the world just how strong he is with the release of his new book.

Bauman's book, entitled "Stronger" hit stores nationwide on Tuesday. As the book landed on shelves, Bauman made the rounds on several national television shows to promote the book and share his experiences.

“It’s been a blur. It’s gone by so fast,” said Bauman while on the Today Show with his fiancée Erin Hurley. “It feels like a month, you know? A month ago I was in a hospital, that’s what it feels like. It’s gone quick. And it’s been hard. It’s been a hard road so far, but it’s getting better every day.”

Earlier this year, Bauman and Hurley announced that they are engaged and also expecting their first child.

On Saturday, Bauman will participate in his first local book signing. He will be signing copies of the book inside the Nashua Costco he works for, beginning at 1 p.m.

"In his memoir, Jeff will inspire millions by writing about his experiences that early spring day and his ongoing mission to walk again," the description of the book reads, according to the website. "Jeff will show the terrorists that they accomplished nothing with their act of cowardice and prove to the entire world what Boston Strong really means."
