Recently Movoto.com, a website geared toward Real Estate, ranked Chelmsford 24th on its list of approximately 75 municipalities throughout the Commonwealth with more than 25,000 people.
Chelmsford ended up with a "Big Deal Score" of 32.63, which combined several categories into a overall figure to judge communities on the list.
Doing well in high school graduations (ranked sixth) and median income (ninth), Chelmsford fell behind on amenities such as restaurants and museums (55th) and cost of living (67th).
Marshfield finished first with a Big Deal Score of 20.5, while nearby Billerica fell behind Chelmsford with a score of 34.38, as did Dracut (36.13), and Lowell (47.88).
