Bicyclists heading down the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail from the center of town into Westford will have to take a minor detour once they hit the Chelmsford Swim and Tennis Club, at least for a few days.
From around Maple Road to Blaisdell Drive, the trail will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Sept. 26 due to new power line installation. This includes the weekend.
Bicyclists can get back on the trail at the entrance point near the Sunny Meadow Farm on Robin Hill Road, which also has a parking lot.
