Thank you Rep. Nangle!

Thank you to Representative David Nangle and Senator Jason Lewis for championing “An Act Relative to Ocean Ecology and Shark Protection.” 

This bill prohibits shark finning -- the slicing off of a shark’s fins, often while he is still alive. The shark is then thrown back into the ocean and sinks to a slow and painful death.

Thank you, too, to Governor Deval Patrick for signing the bill into law yesterday, July 24, 2014.
