On June 3, the doors opened to a brand new fitness center on
Summer Street, It’s Personal Fitness.
Their intriguing tagline, “This Time, It’s Personal” implies that this might not
be your average gym.
Co-owner Debra Grumbach explains what sets their facility apart from other fitness centers. “We feel passionate about getting to know our clients as individuals and helping them reach their fitness goals. Just as every person is different, so are their health needs and fitness goals. It’s Personal, for the client and for us. We work closely with our clients tailor a program that’s just right for them. In addition to our personal training and nutrition counseling, we also offer a wide variety of group classes, so that there is something for every fitness level, age, and ability.” Currently, the list of group classes offered includes: tabata, kick boxing, core conditioning, circuit training, kettle bells, high-intensity interval training, and many others. New classes will be added in the future as well.
Co-owner Tiffany Fahey further defines the facility’s services. “Many of us have tried all sorts of gyms and fitness centers over the years. However, ‘This Time, It’s Personal!’ Our name is a true testament to the philosophy Debra and I share that there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to health and fitness. We have the in-house knowledge, experience and passion to work with individuals at every fitness level -- from the first-time exerciser to the most dedicated body builder, and anyone in between. Individuals come to us with very different motivations, and we are here to help each one of them reach their goals.”
It’s Personal Fitness currently offers group classes six days per week, and personal training by appointment. The facility features a variety of fitness equipment, private men’s and women’s showers, and a convenient location.
