Chelmsford Garden Club Plants Daffodils

Just three days after their wildly successful house tour, the Chelmsford Garden Club is back at work doing what they do best.  Today they had a huge container with 412 daffodil bulbs which they are planting at the town offices, the Community Center in North Chelmsford and in the memorial garden at Heart Pond.  The crew included Connie Smith, Deb Linnehan, Carolyn Langevi,  Brenda Lovering and Dee Miller.

A few weeks ago the Club dug up the summer plants that lined the walkway to the front door of the Town Offices and put in an array of fall plants and flowers. Many-hued mums, fall cabbage and other greens provided an attractive display of vivid colors that delights the eye.  The new urns are lush with variegated leaves flowing down their sides.  With the construction dust and the roar of machinery everywhere as the town prepares for the relocation of the fire station, it is a real treat to see the beauty of nature that provides a little oasis in the midst of all the chaos.
