Henry is well known to many as a knowledgeable, wise, and humorous, story-teller. He has taught at Harvard, Tufts, and Northeastern. He practiced medicine in Acton for 37 years and he held many offices at Emerson Hospital, including President of Medical Staff, and Chair of Dept. of Medicine.
Interested in Darwin since reading Voyage of the Beagle 50 years ago, he recently visited the Galapagos Islands. Lincoln was a boyhood hero who became more fascinating the older Henry became. Themes will include: how both men were Frontier Explorers, fundamentally conservative and yet profoundly revolutionary.
It will be a festive occasion with birthday cake and other refreshments, shared with others who have a February birthday. You are invited to bring a small treat to share if you would like. An RSVP would help our planning, to pne@aol.com with “DARWIN”in subject line.
