Congratulations to the Chelmsford High School Science Organization for fielding a top-notch team of competitors for this year's Western Suburban Science League (WSSL) competition.

After 5 monthly meets and 20 different events, Chelmsford achieved its best-ever finish with a 2nd Place trophy.  This league features 18 of the top high schools from across the eastern part of the state, and the competition is intense. Three of the last four years we have reached third place, which have been our only podium finishes.   This year, the team clawed its way to a higher finish, and was barely edged out by the overall winner, the perennial powerhouse Acton-Boxborough.

Consistent hard work and preparation had CHS finish in first place for two meets, second place for two more meets, and only one meet missed a top 3 finish.

These excellent results are a tremendous reflection on the quality of science education delivered by Chelmsford Public Schools, and the high school science staff especially.  Thank you all for the support and assistance you have provided all year for these eager, motivated students.

They help to sustain the reputation of our district for the delivery of an excellent education.

Now, its on to the state competition at Framingham State University in late March!  Wish them well!
