A Gentleman's Agreement

Frank Tiano, Superintendent of Chelmsford Public Schools and Tim Piwowar, Superintendent of Billerica Public Schools are pleased to announce a gentleman’s agreement regarding a friendly wager for the 2012 Billerica-Chelmsford Thanksgiving Day Football game.  The two superintendents have been in conversation throughout the season and have agreed to the following terms:

• Should the 5-5 Chelmsford Lions win on Thanksgiving Day, Superintendent Piwowar will stand in Chelmsford Center from 4:30-5:30 pm on Monday, November 26 holding a sign proclaiming, “Congratulations to Chelmsford on beating Billerica.  From the Billerica Superintendent.”
• Should the 2-8 Billerica Indians win on Thanksgiving Day, Superintendent Tiano will stand in Billerica Center from 4:30-5:30 pm on Monday, November 26 holding a sign proclaiming, “Congratulations to Billerica on beating Chelmsford.  From the Chelmsford Superintendent.”

Both superintendents are confident in their teams’ ability to be victorious on Thanksgiving and look forward to introducing their counterpart to their home community.
