350 Grade 6-12 Band Students Perform for Chelmsford High School’s Annual “Band Night!

This fall marks Chelmsford High School’s third annual “Band Night.” On Friday, September 13th, Students from CHS, Parker Middle School, and McCarthy Middle School joined the Westford Academy Band at George Simonian Alumni Stadium to perform a special halftime show featuring the music of Michael Jackson.

Approximately 350 students participated in the performance for a cheering crowd of family and fans. Said CHS Director of Bands Matt Sexauer, “If you told me we'd have around 350 students on the field for this year there is no way I'd believe you! I’m thrilled with the turnout, and have already heard numerous positive comments from students and parents.”

“Band Night is not only a fun event for our young musicians, but it provides a special opportunity for high school band members to mentor our younger students,” remarked Fine Arts Coordinator Christina Whittlesey. “Special thanks to the teachers who planned this event, including Matt Sexauer, Eric Linsner, Allison Lacasse, and Sean Wright.”
