To the Editor:

I have served with Selectman Matt Hanson on the Energy Conservation Committee for the past three years and have been very impressed with his contributions. ECC has generated savings for the Town of Chelmsford and has focused efforts on conserving energy and reducing the carbon footprint of town buildings. Most recently, we were able to negotiate a substantial energy service company (ESCO) contract over 20 years for the town, which will result in substantial savings and overall energy efficiency. 
Matt has been working with us shoulder to shoulder, demonstrating a sense of concern for the environment and a keen interest in the value of energy conservation. He, along with the other committee members, thinks globally, but acts locally. As a 16 year resident of the Town of Chelmsford, I would love to see Matt Hanson re-elected as a member of the Board of Selectmen to continue to sustain the improvements we have already embarked on. 
Your vote for Matt Hanson would be good for Chelmsford; good for the environment.
