It's the last year of elementary school for this family

I am a geek, I am a dad, I am a husband. This post is about being a dad, the best job a man can have.

Rachel was born on October 31, 2002. She is and always be my little gremlin, for it was me, and me alone that predicted her “all hallows eve” entry into this great world.

As a father, i have made it through many milestones; wondering if she’ll talk and then hoping she quiets down, wondering if she’ll walk, then wishing i could catch her, hoping she gets potty trained and then fighting for the bathroom, etc.

Now its 4th grade, she is the BGOC (Big Girl on Campus). She is a Diva, an actress and a tom boy all at once, while still encasing the biggest heart a child could have.

She can break your heart by saying “daddy, I can’t stand you” and she can do it again when she presents you with an $8 watch from walmart or your own pack of gum.

As her father, I have, and will continue to take the good, the bad and sometimes down right ugly, because not having even one of those days means I would not have the best daughter G-d could have given me. Her hebrew name is hence, Rachel Batya which translated, means Rachel Gift From G-d.

No way, last year? Wow, where has the time gone? I remember when you had her.
