With a first-place prize of a $25,000 college scholarship – plus other prizes totaling nearly $100,000 – the Bee is designed to encourage the teaching and study of geography. Students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Department of Defense Dependents Schools are participating in the 2012/2013 National Geographic Bee.
We are excited to provide this opportunity for our students to demonstrate their knowledge. If you are looking for additional information on the National Geography Bee or ways in which students can prepare please visit http://www.nationalgeographic.com/geobee/. Best of luck to all of our students!
