Heavy traffic delays remain on both sides of I-495 in Chelmsford following a crash involving two tractor trailers near the state rest stop on 495 Northbound shortly before 5:30 on Tuesday morning.

According to local and state police scanner accounts, approximately five gallons of fuel per minute was leaking out of one of the trailers, but no hazardous cargo was being transported.

Officials have closed off large portions of the breakdown and travel lanes near the rest stop and are considering delaying removal of the trucks until after rush hour.
