Is the Scenic Road Bylaw an infringement on property owner's rights? TMRs ask yourselves why, if you're a property owner, will you need to ask permission of the Planning Board each time you want to alter your landscape by removing or trimming a tree? Contrary to what will be said about what this bylaw covers, it is an insidious open-ended law that will spell trouble for homeowners. Just another example of unwarranted government intrusion. TMRs I urge you to vote NO if you care about property rights.

If you want to talk about trouble for homeowners, then don't forget to talk about the warrant on the fire station. It is NOT simply a question on funding, it is a question on LOCATION! Billerica Rd, while busy, is without a doubt a neighborhood. A no vote defends that neighborhood, which is a commitment that everyone in town holds. If we ask our town officials to protect the Westlands neighborhoods, or the neighborhoods near Robin's Hills then we must ask them to protect the Billerica Rd neighborhood too.

Right Dave. Let's protect Billerica Rd. from the evil firefighters. So noble of you. I'm having visions of being compared to a Viking horde. Rally the troops. Meanwhile all us evil public servants will patiently wait until our current building collapses around us. But remember, lets save the neighborhood from the evil firefighters.

Article 30 will be voted on this Thursday. I urge TMRs to cafefully review this bylaw. I'm certain that they'll agree that it's an infringement on property owner's rights and redundant. MA laws already cover scenic routes. We don't need more government control over how we maintain our property. Anyone who doubts that this bylaw is a potential fiasco, study the process for Planning Board approval of variances. If you don't think that this bylaw has the potential to intrude on every homeowner's property rights for the purpose of preserving "scenic" roads, you better think again. We don't need more small town bureacracy we need less. This thing if approved will only grow like "TOPSY." I again implore TMRs to vote against this outrageous infringement on our rights as property owners.
