Town Meeting Continues Tonight

Town Meeting will vote changing the recall bylaws tonight.

Town Meeting will take up the remaining articles on the warrant tonight at the Senior Center at 7:30.

On Monday day night, Town Meeting's covered the first 14 articles. During that session, Town Meeting voted against establishing a stabilization fund for Nashoba Valley Tech, and voted in favor of adopting a state law that limits the number of blank nomination papers a candidate can receive.

Tonight, Town Meeting will first take up an article that would change the recall bylaws in town. In order to force a recall election, the lead recall petitioner would have to collect signatures from 15 percent of the town's voters over 20 days. Currently, the lead petitioner must collect signatures from 10 percent of the town's voters over 14 days.
