TELL US: Is There Anywhere to Put a Casino in Chelmsford?
The Boston Herald reported last week that a Canadian company might be looking just a few miles down 495 in Littleton to propose a new casino.
Last week, the Boston Herald reported that Clairvest, a Toronto-based casino company, is looking at Littleton for a possible location for their bid in the upcoming selection for the state's four gaming licenses.
The report did not indicate whether the company was looking at a full or slots-only license, or where exactly in Littleton the proposed casino might be located.
Today, we want to ask you your thoughts on this. If a casino did come to Littleton, would it be close enough to have any impact on Chelmsford? If you support the idea of a casino in Chelmsford, where would it go?
Would it take a change in the economic reality attached to the new Massachusetts law to allow a "casino-esque" gaming parlor as small as the Bigs Cafe up in Nashua ay in Milford, NH for a gaming establishment to work logistically in town?
Or, maybe you oppose casinos here in town, or in the Commonwealth altogether?
Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
