Storm Heading Toward Chelmsford on Wednesday, Thursday; Rain and Snow Expected

The forecast calls for mostly wet snow and little accumulation in suburbs west of Boston.

Another big storm will hit the Boston area on Wednesday and Thursday, but it looks like it will be mostly rain in Eastern Massachusetts, including Chelmsford.

The storm will hit Wednesday morning and last through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service forecast, but little accumulation is expected here.

WHDH TV meteorologist Jeremy Reiner writes in his blog:

Time to start talking about a big storm heading this way. It's the same storm that will pound the Midwest-Mid Atlantic today & tomorrow. This storm will pass close enough to New England to make it a player in our world. Still a lot of details to work out but here's what I'm thinking:

*Drawn out storm....late Wednesday night right through midday Friday. The height of the storm will be Thursday & Thursday evening....

*Rain versus wet snow....this is the most uncertain aspect of the storm... Several hours of wet snow are likely in the western suburbs of Boston but no accumulation is expected (as of right now).

Everything I'm reading is saying more like 8 inches of wet snow. Not sure where the no accumulation is coming from. Perhaps a real old forecast?

BTW, I expect no power until Sunday or so ;)
