Selectmen to Discuss North Town Hall, DPW Projects
A look at what selectmen will discuss tonight at their meeting tonight at 7 at Town Hall.
Selectmen tonight will discuss the next phase of the Alpha Road Department of Public Works project.
The town will now look to finishing the interior of the building, including office space and work/shop areas.
Selectmen will also award a bid for paving the parking lot at North Town Hall. Of the nine bids the town received, Onyx Corp. was the low bidder at $105,000 for all the work, including constructing the parking lot, drainage, and paving. Town Manager Paul Cohen said he expects the work to be done by June.
The town will also hold a public input session on the fire station on April 17 and 7 p.m. at the Senior Center. A notice has been sent to Town Meeting Reps and neighbors of the proposed station.
Cohen will also begin looking for a new Department of Public Works director and Senior Center director as Jim Pearson and Diana Ryder are retiring.
The town had applied for a community innovation grant that would have allowed Chelmsford Housing Authority to partner with the town to operate the Senior Center, but the town did not receive that grant, Cohen said.
