Sammy the Labrador on the Mend After Falling from Cliff
Sammy the dog fell more than 40 feet.
They say cats have nine lives, but chocolate lab Sammy could give any cat a run for their money.
Sammy, who belongs to Chelmsford resident Moira Bowser, was hiking in Noanet Woods with her brother-in-law and his dog in Dover when she noticed Sammy was missing, CBS news reported. Then, Sammy's cries could be heard coming from the bottom of the 40-foot cliff.
Sammy was taken to Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain with severe injuries. He had a ruptured lung, which made it difficult for him to breathe. The force of the fall also forced part of Sammy's intestines into his chest cavity, which required surgery to fix.
Sammy is now at home, recovering.

I hope Sammy recovers quickly and painlessly. Thank you to the owners of Sammy and the vetinarians for taking such good care of him.

Oh too bad. Trustees of Reservations regulations require that dogs be on a leach or within sight and under control of their owner at all times. Sounds like Sammy was neither.

...and it sounds like you are a terrible, heartless person.
