REMINDER: Don't Throw Snow Into The Street

It can cost you $25 in Chelmsford.

As the snow falls in town on Saturday night, just a quick reminder that under Section 142-34 of Chelmsford's town bylaws, residents cannot push, pile, throw, shovel or move snow into the street or sidewalk.

Same goes for fire hydrants as well.

Violations can be punished by fines of up to $25.

What's the fine for when the town pushes, piles, throws, shovels or moves snow off the street and onto our property? :-)

See it done all the time. (Great question Jim ... I usually have piles of dirty snow until almost mid April, remains of town ploughing companies, destroying the edges of my lawn and preventing me from gardening at such prime time.)
