Town Meeting Reps on Oct. 17 will decide whether to turn over the 66-acre parcel known as Oak Hill and designate it as conservation land. Reps will also be asked if the town should pay for a study of the land, which could determine its use for open recreation or even affordable housing. What do you think? Do you support turning the land over to the Conservation Comission, or do you support the study? Why or why not?

As the map shows the curent trail system covers six diffent owners. ConCom has said they do not need a plan. No way COSS is wil be active on the site as we have our hands full keeping the ATVS and snowmobiles from riping up Deep Brook. The LSC is private and and posted no tresspassing so is Scotty Hollow and the old dump. Now it is "known" people will park at Scotty Hollow or at the old dump to access it.. it will be a mess that could have been avoided if there was the plan. The map above is pretty clear. only #6 and #1 wl be open to the public rest is private and you will be trespassing. Seems only BOS is wiling to talk about these issue.

Designate it as Conservation Land and leave it be. Do not create another headache for the town and the open stewards to maintain. If you want to build somewhere, wait for the DPW land on Richardson Road. That land can be a mix use piece of property, you can have recreational fields and FAMILY housing.
