Police Investigate Two Alleged Residential Street Races

The following information was supplied by the Chelmsford Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following are entries from the Chelmsford Police log for Aug. 24, 25 and 26.

Additional information is available in certain cases from the Chelmsford Police Records Department for a nominal fee.

Any instances where streets are mentioned without addresses shall be placed on the map as occurring on the first address on that street for geographical convenience unless otherwise stated even though the incident may have happened somewhere else on the street.

Friday, Aug. 24

3:51 a.m. – Animal control officers aided an elderly female who reported a bat in her house on Bonanza Road.

6:29 a.m. – A truck was reportedly caught up in some wires on Oak Street.

3:28 p.m. – Reported larceny of cash and credit cards from a domestic dispute on Littleton Road was considered unfounded according to police accounts.

Saturday, Aug. 25

Arrest – Bryan Maga, 19, of 222 Baldwin Rd. in Billerica, was arrested for alleged possession of alcohol by a person under 21.

9:41 a.m. – Children left in a motor vehicle without parental supervision on Chelmsford Street caught the eye of a police officer.

10:26 a.m. – Animal control helped out a sick raccoon on Coach Road.

7:51 p.m. – Several police and paramedic units were called to a home on Main Street after a report that some teenagers were unconscious due to alcohol poisoning.

Sunday, Aug. 26

1:25 p.m. -  Three vehicles were seen racing each other in a residential neighborhood near Doral Drive and Dayton Street.

8:40 p.m. – Police reported motorcycle racing in the vicinity of Riverneck Road and Carlisle Street.
