Photos: Fundraiser for Tallent family at the Radisson
Out of tragedy, the Chelmsford community came together to help a family in need on Saturday.
In July, Steve Tallent, husband and father of three, suffered a stroke on the way home from their vacation. Saturday evening, Jen Bartleman and friends and family, held a benefit at the Radisson in Chelmsford for the Tallent family.
Jen Bartleman and a large group of volunteers spent the past 5 weeks getting everything together for the event. Around 130 people attended, bidding on various silent auctions and entering raffles for everything from cookies to golf clubs.
Just before the raffles were drawn, Jerry Serra presented Erin Tallent with a check for $1000 on behalf of Team Micky Ward Charities. By the end of the evening several thousand dollars were raised to help support the Tallent family as they recover.

It truly was a wonderul night for Steve and Erin. They were deeply touched by the kindness and generosity they have received from everyone. They know the have a long hard road ahead of them but it has been eased a bit by the kindness,support and generosity they recieved Saturday night. They are truly thankful.
