PATCH ANSWERS: How Far Will The Sidewalks Go Down Old Westford Road?
You asked, now Patch answers.
Today, we answer a reader question from a few months back. We apologize, but between all the hurricanes and earthquakes and elections and escaping horses, this one slipped through the cracks.
Back in the fall, there was some construction of sidewalks on Old Westford Road, and one reader asked how far they would head down the road. We discovered that the sidewalks will terminate at Sarah Lane, the last side street before the Westford border.
At least for now, the sidewalks won't be going any further.

But wait! There was a mistake made and the sidewalks were striped. No problem though. Paul Cohen will play down the mistake. Costs to the town will be made up with another 1/2% meals tax. No fallout or reason to reprimand any of the town workers.

Gee, I hope they go all the way down to the ground.

Too bad the road is being made narrower, what with more cars traveling and bicyclist in the road than when the road was originally built.

Too bad the road is being made narrower, what with more cars traveling and bicyclist in the road than when the road was originally built. Why not take a couple feet of property frontage instead?

Sidewalk are nice to have if there really is a user base. Too bad the road is being made narrower, what with more cars traveling and bicyclist in the road than when the road was originally built. Seems like a better option would have been to grab a couple feet of property frontage.
