Obama Will Choose Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry as Secretary of State Nominee

The Massachusetts senator reportedly will be the pick to replace Hillary Clinton as the country's top diplomat.

John Kerry is President Obama's pick to become the next Secretary of State, and replace Hillary Clinton as the nation's top diplomat.

Many expected Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, to be the president's pick after U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice took her name out of the running last week. Rice had been under scrutiny by Republicans in Congress for statements she made in the aftermath of the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

The scramble to replace Kerry is already on; a poll done for WBUR showed that Republican Scott Brown would lead if the special election to replace Kerry were held today.

This is the ultimate insult to Vietnam veterans, - and to all honest men and women who have ever served – that this contemptable American traitor, liar-under-Oath to Congress, and gigolo should become SecState – and thus the 4th in line to be president.

And thus yet another Kerry lie...

When a reporter saw his medals displayed in a case on the wall of his senate office – he sputtered something about having thrown 'someone else's medals' over the WH fence.

He was given a Dishonorable Discharge for going to Paris and trying to talk with the NVA – while STILL a Navy reservist. Later Jimmy Carter upgraded him – one despicable traitor upgrading another....

Good rid of him, out of our commonwealth! But, I had the same thoughts as Obama praised Kerry for his service in VN ... what ever was he thinking to even bring up such a sore subject? When I remember our time there and the men I and my husband knew who succumbed, I still cry about it and thank God that my sweet ol' man was spared, tho the agony of that assignment lived with him to the end. I have high hopes for Brown but I sure do hope he runs a better campaign this time.
