Mysterious Chimney Smoke and a Pheasant on the Loose

Monday, Sept. 10
Arrests
- Evelyn Crespo, 39, of 170 Father Morisset Blvd. in Lowell, was arrested on charges of alleged larceny of property over $250.
Other
11:17 a.m. - Officers notified the Fire Department when they saw smoke from a chimney in an unoccupied home near the corner of Sunset Avenue and Chelmsford Street.
8:06 p.m. - Police checked the area for reports of an out of control pheasant on Highland Avenue.
Tuesday, Sept. 11
Arrests
- Anthony Aldrich, 25, of 1214 Hill Rd. in Boxborough, was arrested on charges of alleged larceny by false pretenses, assault and battery and a separate count of alleged assault and battery on an elderly or disabled person.

4:47 p.m. - Police went to Manwell Road following up on reported ATM fraud.
7:09 p.m. - A man was found slumped over the wheel of his car underneath the 495 overpass on Chelmsford Street.
