Could this new-found love for the Chelmsford fire department possibly be to drum up support for the new station and/or increased funding for what anyone with common sense knows should be either a regional or volunteer dept?

We had 3 fires last year and we have an ambulance service to deal with medical emergencies. An ambulance service that PAYS the town $50k a year. But oh no, lets send the bloated expensive fire dept on every emergency call no matter what it is. Ya, the FD should definitely be sent to ever robbery call.

This town is so ridiculous sometimes!!
