LETTER: Maloney Will Enhance Selectmen
The following is a Letter to the Editor
To the Editor:
I am asking the voters to join me in supporting and voting for Patrick Maloney, candidate for Chelmsford Board of Selectman, on Tuesday, April 2. Pat is a proud graduate of Chelmsford High Class of 1979, he is very appreciative of the education he received and now wants to serve the town as Selectman. Pat wants to continue to show his interest in our community, already demonstrated by serving as chairman of the Permanent Building Committee and spearheading multiple building projects including $31 million in school renovations, renovations to the two town halls, and upcoming DPW and and fire station headquarters. Pat’s role as a leader has been tested during these projects, having to convince their importance and need not only to citizens, but to state officials in order to qualify for grant money. He was persistent and worked with the agencies of the MSBA (MA School Building Association ) resulting in a $16 million reimbursement and recognition for the project as it was completed on time and under budget. Pat embraces fiscal responsibility for these projects by pursuing grant money to supplement cost. He has developed a trusted relationship with state agencies and has demonstrated that he can work well with town officials and departments at all levels.
Pat would like to serve as Selectman so he can continue to utilize his skills to make an impact on the decisions needed to keep Chelmsford a town we can all be proud of. He always demonstrates accountability, transparency, and a willingness to listen to all viewpoints. I believe Pat’s expertise and knowledge of construction management will be an asset to the Board. Pat’s traits of honesty, pride, commitment and dedicated leadership can only enhance the success of the Board of Selectmen. Please join me in casting one of your two votes for Pat Maloney on April 2. Thank you.
