If you've been a long time Chelmsford Patch, no doubt you remember the Grocery Hunt: a column where we look around the area for the best prices on items you ask for in local grocery stores.
A few months ago we stopped, but two weeks ago on our Facebook page we announced we're going to start it up again.
We were all set to publish it last week, until we got delayed a few days due to that giant snow storm, and went back out a second time after the storm to doublecheck just to see if anything changed.
So, without further ado, here is the rebirth of the grocery hunt, with five items on the list of Chelmsford Patch reader Jim Kender.
All prices were checked on Feb. 12, prices may change without notice and do not necessarily include taxes or other fees. (Aisle in parentheses)

It's definitely a fun little thing. I think it's feasible with just Chelmsford - doing the stores in Westford, Littleton and Groton on top of this took two hours of driving and walking through the stores. This took maybe 15-20 minutes.
If you guys read it, I'll keep on doing it!

I feel embarrassed (my few essentials I buy weekly!) but love this comparison. Thanks!
