Have not driven away from my driveway yet but from what I can (barely) see of the street in front of my house, it doesn't look bad ... narrow, but I can see some blacktop. It was a difficult task for the plows and tho the driving ban probably made it easier for them, from what I heard on WBZ Radio, while working thru the night they had nowhere to stop for a cup of Joe to keep them going since all DD's and other food businesses were closed. Was that the case in Chelmsford? Don't know. Anyway, it will all melt .......... someday, PLEASE!!!

By the time I went out to do errands on Sunday, all the neighborhoods I drove through between South Chelmsford and Market Basket Plaza were down to bare pavement. Snowbanks were understandably high and roads were still a bit narrow, but overall, I would give the DPW and all others who cleared the roads very high marks for making the roads on my side of town very passable very quickly. Well done, folks!

I was out and about yesterday checking the Open Spaces and roads were great. All the lots were open and people walking, X-country Skiing and snow shoeing. Some secondary clean up left but I was even able to get around the narrow streets by Varney. Great Job all over town to what saw. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Much better than their usual job. Private contractors did a good job and apparently the town rented trucks somewhere. All in all very satisfactory.

Overall a great job! Living near Parker School, only criticism would be that the sidewalk plow (snowblower) comes through too early. When plows were doing secondary cleanup, the snow was thrown right back onto the sidewalk - a lot fo it! Almost as if it never came. i cleaned ours up in front of the house a few times!
