Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe Honored As One Of The Best Asian Restaurants in Massachusetts

The Littleton Road-based business was recently informed that they were one of the state's 20 "Essential" Asian Restaurants according to the prestigious magazine.

In a few months, folks can get donuts and Subway sandwiches while they get gas on their way to Westford, but they'll also be in walking distance of some of Massachusetts' best Chinese food.

The Littleton Road-based Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe was named recently as one of the "20 Essential Asian Restaurants" in the state by Boston Magazine.

According to proprietor Gene Wu, he was completely unaware of the acclaim until a photographer from the magazine stopped by.

"I was completely shocked," he said.

Wu is no stranger to regional acclaim, following an invitation by the National Park Service to demonstrate his noodle making techniques in Lowell as well as a story last year in the Boston Globe.

More information on Gene's is available on the restaurant's website and Facebook page.

Gene's is amazing, if you haven't been yet, you need to go get a flat bread sandwich and some hand pulled spicy noodles, you won't be disappointed...

I have not been there yet, but have heard nothing but great comments about it. I will definitely add it to my list of "must do'"

Full disclosure: Gene's flatbread sandwiches are one of my favorite things in life. One day I am going to try the noodles.
