We've all caught a glimpse of Sunny Meadow Farm at one point or another, whether it be driving down Robin Hill Road or walking through the gardens themselves, or taking a tour here on Patch.

But in case you didn't know, here are a five fun facts about this little patch of green in southern Chelmsford, provided by Phil Stanway of the Chelmsford Open Space Stewardship.

#1. Sunny Meadow Farm is the only access point along the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail that has a restroom.

#2. The farm is ADA accessible, with a handicapped ramp leading to gardens that can be tended while sitting down for the elderly and those in wheelchairs.

#3. Various food banks rely on the food from the gardens, such as the Congregational Church, which gathers 900 lbs. of food per year.

#4. The farm is owned by the Board of Selectmen, and it doesn't cost the town anything in taxes.

#5. There are young trees being grown to be transplanted in other parts of town, such as the Town Common.
