Did Last Week's Meatball Recall Impact Grocery Prices?
Grocery Hunt for the week of July 25.
Last week Hannaford announced it will be recalling several brands of meatballs, following another contamination scare Hannaford had late last year. So this week, we decided to take a look and see if these announcements have had any impact on Westford area meatball prices.
Unfortunately, premade meatballs are harder to find than you'd think. We saw them at Hannaford (pictured), but weren't able to find them anywhere else at the deli counter.
So, we did the next best thing and took prices of ground beef to see if the recall impacted the stuff you use to make meatballs at home, particularly to compare it to the last ground beef controversy earlier this year.
