Chelmsford Woman Collides With Wrong Way Driver in Tip O'Neill Tunnel
On Sunday at 5:35 a.m., a 45-year-old Chelmsford woman collided with a 53-year-old man from Roslindale that was driving the wrong way in the Tip O'Neill Tunnel.
Massachusetts State Police reported on Sunday morning that a Chelmsford woman was involved with a three car accident in Boston that left one man dead.
The incident, which occured inside the Tip O'Neill tunnel, involved Chelmsford resident Jennifer Green, and Idefonso Barros, 53, of Roxbury.
According to the State Police account of the accident, Barros was driving the wrong way in the tunnel, colliding head on with Green.
Police believe the Barros may have been ejected from his car, but that has yet to be confirmed. He was pronounced dead later at New England Medical Center.
Green was also brought to New England Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the third vehicle, an unnamed individual driving a 2007 Ford Edge, was uninjured in the crash.
