Chelmsford Continues to See Increased Foreclosures in September

In September, foreclosure petitions in Massachusetts were down to their lowest point since May 2011, but in Chelmsford they actually went up.
According to the Boston-based Warren Group, September was the first month this year in Massachusetts that saw under 1,000 of the petitions, which mark the first step in the process of foreclosures.
"The pace of homes entering the foreclosure process slowed in September, another strong indicator of a housing market recovery," said Timothy M. Warren Jr., CEO of The Warren Group. "Foreclosure deeds declined for the fourth month in a row. That's another good sign."
However, Chelmsford so far this year has seen 64 petitions, a 60 percent spike from the end of September 2011.

Chelmsford Mom is close, the main reason is that I'm doing the job of two people, which multiplies into the job of four or five people when it gets stressful.
There are so many hours in a day, so priorities have to be made. Things like Scott Brown coming to town, which are timely and have to get done immediately, take precedence over things like this that have a longer shelf life.
One thing you can do to help me get stories out more quickly is to head into difficult articles and tell folks to behave themselves. That's been a huge addition on my time lately that leads to delays in putting out articles.

Iron Mike - give it a rest because
A) It's very possible that the Warren Group report was published after the election
B) Even if the Warren Group report was published prior to the election, the editor probably didn't view it as a 'hot' piece of news that needed to be published immediately...so he may have held off for a few days until the craziness of the election wore off.
C) Finally, there was no conspiracy here as you implied...and even if the story was published prior to the election, you know what Mike, it wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome.
