Candidate Takes Out Nomination Papers During Blizzard, Beating Deadline
We'll have more information as it becomes available.
The In-Town Report and Chelmsford Reps and Residents Facebook groups are reporting that former School Committee candidate Jack Wang took out nomination papers at Town Hall today, beating the 5 p.m. deadline for nominations despite the ongoing blizzard.
Wang ran for the School Committee in 2010 and is a 1989 Chelmsford High School graduate.
Patch could not confirm the story with the Town Clerks office, and could not immediately reach Wang for comment.
All candidates must return their confirmed nomination signatures by Tuesday at 5 p.m.
We will have more on this story as it becomes available.

Yes, Jack Wang pulled papers for School Committee yesterday, as I posted on the Chelmsford Reps & Residents Facebook Group page yesterday. He called me shortly after I posted that news on the aforementioned Facebook page and said that he did take out the papers for School Committee, however he will do a lot of thinking and talking with people this weekend before he makes a final decision as to whether or not he will actually run for School Committee this year. Since all the papers are due to be returned no later than this Tuesday, FEB 12th, we'll know for sure if he's running on Tuesday night.

Breaking news: Jack Wang and I just spoke on the phone. He told me that he will NOT be running for School Committee this year.
Therefore, there are two School Committee candidates for the two SC seats this year, Evelyn Thoren & Barbara Skaar.
Barbara is scheduled to be on my show next week, on FEB 19th. Evelyn was on my show last month.
