BREAKING: Two-Alarm Blaze at Woodcrest Condominiums
We will have more information as it becomes available.
Firefighters from Chelmsford and several other nearby communities are fighting a two-alarm blaze on the third floor of Building 1 at the Woodcrest Condominium complex just off Littleton Road.
The fire, which began shortly after midnight on Saturday, was seen from over a mile away according to reports from nearby residents.
Early details indicate that several residents are injured and medevac helicopters are taking those wounded in the fire to nearby hospitals.
We will have more on the fire as it becomes available.
UPDATE 1:08 a.m. - The American Red Cross is on the scene, and is reporting approximately 25 to 30 people were impacted by the fire.
UPDATE 1:40 a.m. - We've been told that a seven-year-old was airlifted from the Byam School with burns to his hands and three other people will taken to Lowell General Hospital.
Also, we've been told that the fire was in Building 4, not Building 1, and the alarm came in for Building 3 as well.
We will have more in our Sunday newsletter.

I live in the next building. So sad. I'm not sure what we can do yet. As I hear things I will keep you posted.
