Boys Ice Hockey Shuts Out Arlington, Moves on to Quarter Finals
The Lions knocked Arlington Catholic out of the state tournament and will next play Medford.
The Chelmsford Lions boys ice hockey team last night cruised past Arlington Catholic and will now play in the state tournament's quarter finals against Medford on Saturday.
Billy Kamenides netted the game-winning goal in the first period, while Tommy Bishop, Drew Dawson, and Jon Fairbanks all found the back of the net in the second. Bishop made the game 5-0 late in the third. Arlington replaced their netminder after that goal, but it was a little too late.
Goaltender Derek Noble saved 32 shots for the shut-out.
The Lions will now face Medford on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. at Chelmsford Forum.
