Town Meeting Rep Seeks Positive Stories
Have you had a challenging road at some point in your life? Have you faced adversity and taken your situation and turned it around and done something positive?
Town Meeting Rep Stefani Bush is working on a montage to put to one of her recently recorded songs and she is looking for individuals who have come through difficult times and made a positive difference.
If you want your picture (either of yourself, what you've been through, or a picture of you overcoming your adversity) to be featured in this song, please email your good quality photograph(s) along with explicit permission to use what you send in the video, on the internet, on the stage, and on TV to email@example.com. The challenges do not have to be medical in nature...it could be mental illness, addiction, bankruptcy, other financial troubles, homelessness, natural disaster, loss, divorce...ANY type of adversity.
It's only a matter of time until school lets out for the summer. Get a head start on which books your child will need to read. The summer reading lists are posted on the School Department's website. You can also find information on summer sports and summer classes.
Stewards of Children
Contact Tricia Dzuris to sign up for the town's next Stewards of Children childhood sexual abuse prevention training on June 7. This training is beneficial for any community members, but particularly those working with children in the classroom, sports, or religious institutions. The program helps people gain awareness and the confidence to report suspicious activity.
