Are you staying home for April vacation? Here are some things to do in town.

1. Library programs. This week the libray has many programs going on - head over to our calendar to check out all the great events this week.

2. Nature walks. Explore the town's open spaces with your family and/or your four-legged friends. Download the trail maps above so you don't get lost. 

3. Bike the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail. Even if you don't have a bike, you can rent one at Chelmsford Cyclery and bike the rail trail.

4. Visit Freeman Lake or Heart Pond. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, so take some time to keep cool and visit these local water holes.

5. Catch up on reading. Cool off at the Java Room, Starbucks or other fine establishment with a good book or magainze.
