5 Things for Today in Chelmsford: Feb. 15

From Vinal Square to Kate's Corner, here are your Five Things for today in Chelmsford.

#1. Medical Marijuana Dispensary Update: On Wednesday night, the Planning Board acted on Article 22 and 23 on this spring's Town Meeting warrant, both of which had to do with medical marijuana dispensaries.

Article 23 attempts to create a moratorium on establishing a dispensary in town until Dec. 31, 2013 and Article 23 would limit any dispensaries to Industrially zoned areas if the town cannot prohibit dispensaries.

Statewide voters approved the medical marijuana initiative last fall, allowing for up to 35 across the state, with a minimum of one and a maximum of five in each county.

Let us know your take on this.

#2. On Saturday... It's Girl Scout babysitting night

#3. And on Sunday... head to the Forum to help out with PJs for needy kids.

#4. Tonight... More than $15,000 in items have been donated for a Woodcrest Fire fundraiser at the Elks. It starts at 7 p.m.

#5. Pictured: The Chelmsford High School hockey team has their last home game of the season on Saturday night at the Forum against Billerica. Game time is 6:50 p.m.

Here's some highlights of their game against Acton-Boxboro last week. More info on the CHS Hockey Facebook page.
