Democratic State Senate candidate Alex Buck and Republican Rotary Club member Leonard Doolan may sit on opposite sides of the political aisle, but they proved recently that they can agree on some important things.  

Buck, who is running in the 3rd Middlesex District Democratic Primary, approached Doolan and asked if he would donate to his campaign. Doolan thought it was important to support a local candidate and agreed.   

In their conversation, Doolan also mentioned that the Rotary Club was sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive, and Buck donated blood.  

"I saw this as a good way to help a great cause, while at the same time show how we can all come together to support the community," Buck said.
