Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in North Billerica, is welcoming a new executive director, Jo Shaw.

Shaw comes to Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley from HealthBridge Management, where she served as regional director of education and development in the Concord, Mass., area. Prior to that appointment, she was administrator of Concord Health Care Center.

With 25 years of experience in long-term care, Shaw serves on the board of the Massachusetts chapter of the American Health Care Association. She has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration and is working on her master’s degree in health care management.

“My passion is to deliver top-quality care to the elderly,” said Shaw. “I desire to give back to the community in which I was raised.”

Originally from Lexington, Shaw currently resides in Chelmsford with her husband, Jim. The couple has seven children.
