Museum of the Week

Cape Ann Museum, 27 Pleasant St., Gloucester (appx 1+ hour from Chelmsford), Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, Sunday, 1-4pm, Admission $10 Adults; $8.00 Seniors/Students; Under 12/FREE Enjoy the many phases of Cape Ann from its earliest fishing days to the present. The museum's collection includes the group of works by its native son, Fitz Henry Lang. Docent-led tours are available Tues-Fri at 11am and Sat & Sun at 2pm. Portland, Maine Chamber Music Festival Thursday, August 9-Sunday, 18. (Portland, ME appx. 2 hours north)Check out FREE Family Fun Day Sunday, August 12. Program begins at 11:00am-1:00pm with informal concerts, play activities, and Children's Concert featuring the Portland Chamber musicians at noon. Historically Speaking

Hancock-Clarke House, 35 Hancock Street, Lexington open daily through October 10am-4pm. Purchase either Package tickets for other house or single.  FIRST SHOT! Package: $12/adult, $8/child - all houses; $7/adult, $5/child-single house. Child rate 6-16; under 6 free. (if you are an active duty military family, ask the about discounted or even free tickets,) On the evening of April 18, 1775, John Hancock and Samuel Adams, prominent leaders in the colonial cause, were guests of the Reverend Jonas Clarke in the parsonage. Picnic, Walking Paths, Nature Adventures

Haven't visited Boston yet this summer. Today may be the day. Check out Boston by Foot. Explore Boston's rich heritage of architecture and history with highly trained guides. May be a good day for a FREE Trolley Tour of Lowell- Tours run twice daily at 10:00 am (View of Lowell) and 2:30pm (Controlling Nature); check in at the Lowell National Historical Park's Visitor at 246 Market Street several minutes before the tour time. Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road, Winchester, Ma (appx. 30 mins southeast of Chelmsford) 781.729.1158 The museum opened in 1992 to promote an appreciation of photographic art & its visual, emotional, and social impact.
