Nashoba Tech serves Thanksgiving meal to veterans
Emily Morrison of Chelmsford, a sophomore in Nashoba Valley Technical High School’s Hotel & Restaurant Management program, serves Thanksgiving dinner to local veterans during Nashoba Tech’s traditional event. The dinner is a Thanksgiving tradition for 12 years now, started by Chef-Instructor Steve Whiting, who invites veterans and staff members from several local veterans housing groups affiliated with the Veterans Administration, including from Pepperell, Winchendon and Lowell. The meal consisted of a traditional Thanksiving feast of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, peas, beverage, and coffee and pie for dessert, all prepared, cooked and served by students in Culinary Arts and Hotel & Restaurant Management.

I didn't know about this ... what a lovely gesture ... good for the students and veterans.
