Medical Sharps Collection - For Residents Only - Must Be Registered
The Medical Sharps Collection for Chelmsford residents only will be held at the Chelmsford Board of Health Office on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 9:00am to 4:00pm. You must be registered with the Board of Health to drop off your needles. Sharps must be placed in a heavy plastic container such as a medical sharps container, coffee container, kitty litter container or laundry detergent bottle. Why is this collection always restricted to "business hours"? People who can't get to town hall can't use this service.

Good Morning Mr. Stratton: We have had a few collections in the late afternoon, early evening hours and received only a couple of residents. Most of the collections come between 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. We have three collections per year; the second Tuesday of April, September and December. Another option for you is The Lowell House at 555 Merrimack Street in Lowell. They have a sharps kiosk available to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Telephone number is 978 459 8656. Please contact me for more information.
