Kronos Gives Back to Chelmsford Military Family

  • November 18, 2011

Making a difference on Veteran’s Day is more than just thanking a serviceman or woman for his or her sacrifice; it’s about rolling up your sleeves and giving back. In that spirit, several employees of Chelmsford-based Kronos recently dedicated a day to serving a local military family.

The Kronos Educational Services volunteer team is a part of the ongoing commitment that Kronos has to charitable giving. In collaboration with the Chelmsford Military Community Covenant Task Force, the Kronos team assisted a local family to prepare for the homecoming of Master Sergeant Ed Devine, who has spent a year-long deployment in Iraq. Due to a work-related injury, Ed’s wife Lisa needed assistance with household tasks, and the Kronos team was there to make sure her needs were met.

Veteran’s Day was a brisk, sunny, beautiful day, and the volunteers cheerfully pitched in to help Lisa prepare for Ed’s return. They assisted with yard work and other household chores, and as a final touch, the group tied a yellow ribbon around a large tree in front of the home as a welcome home message. Kronos thanks Ed and Lisa and their family for their service and the sacrifices they have made to protect our country’s freedom.  Kronos wishes them a very happy and healthy holiday season
