Budget Buddies is a Chelmsford-based, non-profit organization focused on improving the financial literacy of low-income women in the Greater Lowell area. Our innovative, no-fee program combines workshops on budgeting, banking, and credit with one-on-one coaching and support groups to help clients develop core money management skills and resolve their individual financial issues. Budget Buddies partners with local banks, social service agencies, and volunteers to provide customized training and support in basic money management.

You do not have to be a financial wizard to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help someone make the most of the money she has.

As a coach, you’ll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your "buddy" -- and we’ll support you in that effort. At this time, per the request of our clients, all of our coaches are women. But we also need volunteers to help with many other parts of our organization -- such as grants research, fundraising, Web site development, child care, and logistics. To learn more about our program, please call us at 978-703-0820.
