Chelmsford's McCaul a Student of the Month at Nashoba Tech

WESTFORD — Kylie McCaul, a senior from Chelmsford, has been named a Student of the Month for September at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.
Kylie, daughter of James and Linda McCaul, is a Student of the Month for the second time, the first honor coming in her sophomore year. She is a senior who is very active in extracurricular activities. She served as president of the junior class, is captain of the volleyball team and plays softball. She is a high-honors student and has been inducted into both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. She has also participated in the Colonial Athletic League Sportsmanship Summit.
Kylie won a gold medal in Preschool Teaching Assistant as a sophomore in the SkillsUSA District Competition. She also served as a Kick-Off Mentor as a sophomore, helping incoming freshmen make a smooth transition into Nashoba Tech.
Kylie is a dedicated member of the Early Childhood Education program and of the Nashoba Valley Early Learning Center, which is on the Nashoba Tech campus and staffed by students in the program.
“She’s here a half-hour before school starts every single day,” said Early Childhood Education Instructor Colleen Hogan-Mazzola, who nominated Kylie. “And she stays late when she doesn’t have to. She’s very good with infants. She has a gift.”
In her nomination, Hogan-Mazzola added: “Her hard work and positive attitude are welcoming to all parents and children in the child-care center.”
